University Physician Associates (UPA), the physician group practice for the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC-SOM) in conjunction with its primary teaching facility, Truman Medical Center (TMC) has a position available for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.  This position is well suited for candidates interested in balancing clinical care along with teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.  The UMKC-SOM is committed to academic excellence and the position comes with an academic appointment. 


There is also an opportunity for protected time and initial funding for candidates interested in research and scholarly pursuit.  This position offers a generous compensation and benefit package within an academic physician practice.

University Physician Associates the academic group practice for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, and OB/GYN Department Chair Dev Maulik, MD, PhD, is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist at Assistant/Associate Professor level to work at Truman Medical Centers and Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

The Department provides tertiary level maternal fetal care in this region, and also participates in multidisciplinary integrated quaternary level perinatal care for high risk fetuses at the Fetal Health Center in collaboration with the Children's Mercy Hospital.

In addition to a busy residency program of 32 residents, the Department of OB/GYN has a fully accredited maternal-fetal medicine fellowship program and exciting opportunities for research and academic development. The Department is involved in perinatal clinical and translational research, and runs a molecular research laboratory. This position also provides excellent research opportunities to collaborate with the UMKC Department of Health and Bioinformatics as well as the Children's Mercy Fetal Health Center.

The ideal candidate should be maternal fetal medicine board certified or eligible, and would demonstrate expertise in advanced maternal fetal care, diagnostic ultrasonography, invasive fetal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, medical education and scholarly activities.
